Leading the Parade


The Parade begins with City Police and County Sheriffs.
Cars, trucks and drivers volunteer to carry our military and veterans.
In the red car is our Blue Star Mom, whose son gave the ultimate sacrifice.
Patriot Guard Riders of Texas.... followed by the Boy Scouts of Palestine.
World War II Veterans.

Even the kids get into the act!
And Jimmy Ray stops another parade vehicle, to thank another Veteran!
The Cartmell Bus is probably filled with lots of Veterans, too!
Time for the horses.... carrying flags..... men and women of all ages....
... and some kids....
And the Tejas Girl Scouts on horseback!
Based at Camp Bette Perot near Athens, our East Texas Girls look beautiful all decked out in red !
Scouting teaches young women a variety of skills.
And the end comes.... with the school bus going to pick up the bands and cars joining in,
to proceed to the Veterans Park, where the rest of the program will be given.
